ImageOrientation and Registration on Tues Oct 30 may very well be cancelled. I may not have internet access to post about it so please use your common sense to decide- if the schools are closed then it’s definitely cancelled because our session is at Lenape. If the roads/flooding is bad then it won’t happen because our volunteers won’t be able to get there to set up. I do not know when it will be rescheduled but stay tuned to find out. See previous posts about other upcoming sessions: http://doylestowndogpark.com/2012/10/18/latest-orientation-and-registration-schedule-and-upcoming-events/

Also, plan on the dog park being closed for a few days for flooding to subside. The ground there turns to clay in heavy rain and we don’t want any turned ankles (dog or human!) We’ll keep you posted if/when we hear more from the Township.

The Bucks County Animal Response Team will be setting up an animal shelter at a Red Cross shelter in central/upper bucks and need help with people who can deploy. For updates, please join their facebook group: http://www.facebook.com/groups/99946992846/?ref=ts&fref=ts or email Michelle Grundahl with your updated contact info, phone, email and send it to buckscart@gmail.com. write if you can help at an upper or central bucks location only. thank you to these volunteers and remember, IF IT’S NOT SAFE FOR YOU, IT’S NOT SAFE FOR YOUR PETS! IF YOU EVACUATE, TAKE YOUR PETS WITH YOU! Here are some great disaster preparedness tips: http://www.humanesociety.org/issues/animal_rescue/tips/pets-disaster.html

Please note: REGISTRATION HAS NOT BEGUN. It is different than Orientation which begins on Saturday, July 28 (details here: http://doylestowndogpark.com/2012/07/23/dog-park-orientation-begins-july-28th-and-final-volunteer-day-on-july-28th-too/) .

Please do not contact the Township asking about Registration. This will only slow down the process for Registration to actually begin because they will be too busy answering questions to get everything ready that needs to be ready…. You can however, get prepared for the Registration process by creating a household account at: www.doylestownrec.com  so you will be in the Township’s computer system.

As soon as Registration begins, we will let you know exactly what to do to register. If we knew now, we would tell you. But we don’t, so please be patient. Thanks for your cooperation!
