SANTA PAWS: We hope you will join us this weekend at Life on the Leash in Doylestown for our 3rd annual Santa Paws and Winter Wonderland Photos. This year we are so excited to have professional pet photographers, Doghouse Photographers, donating their time and talent to take the pictures! Special thanks to Doylestown Animal Medical Clinic for donating our printer and supplies and also to Dr. Dale Mantell for being our Santa this year! Santa Paws Details:
- Saturday, Dec 10 from 11am to 5pm at Life on the Leash (42 E State St in Doylestown Borough, near the County Theater).
- RSVP on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/events/190998110979274/ or to Life on the Leash at 267- 247-5567. Walk ins are welcome too.
- Make sure your dogs are on a SHORT leash (no flexi’s please!), are well behaved, vaccinated and not aggressive to other dogs or people.
- Anyone who decides to buy a Brick or Paver this Saturday will receive FREE pictures.
- The pictures are $10 for one scene or $15 for both scenes and you will receive a printed copy there and will have access to the digital versions as well.
- It’s sad that we have to say this, but, there’s always one person every year that needs to hear this message: animal abuse of any kind will not be tolerated. Do not bring your dog on a choke chain and give him/her corrections or yell at him/her to try to get them to pose for the picture!

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: As I’m sure you heard, we received unanimous approval from the Doylestown Township Board of Supervisors to finally break ground on the dog park!
While we have raised the funds to build, we will continue to accept your tax deductible Brick, Paver and Dog Park Partner donations that will be put toward maintenance, any unexpected costs that come up during building and agility equipment and other improvements not in the initial budget. We still have some wonderful naming opportunities to honor your pet or your family or to promote your business.
We are still working on the operating/relationship agreement between the Friends of Doylestown Dog Park and the Township Parks and Rec department which hopefully should all be agreed upon this month as well. We also have to meet with the County Commissioners to get their final approval this month since it is County land that is leased to the Township. We hope to have a groundbreaking ceremony early next year and be open by Spring of 2012, if not sooner (all construction is weather dependent…). We will start the registration sign ups hopefully in January so stay tuned for details….
